My hardest tour so far. With the sunrise in the Asco Valley we started on Monte Cinto. This is where the 4th and probably demanding stage of the GR20 starts. The forest soon thins out and it becomes increasingly rocky. It goes almost exclusively over scree fields and climbing passages (grade 1) upwards

A great hike with the opportunity to take a refreshing dip in the sea in beautiful bathing bays (we did it in three bays) and to cool down in the Genoese tower with a view.

This morning we went to the Capu di a Veta at sunrise. We parked the car above the Hotel Corsica. We found the entrance to the hiking trail easy even in the dark. Two stones marked in red and a cairn on the left-hand side of the path point the way to the hiking trail. The red markings are still common

The Funiculare takes you from Como up to Brunate.
