In Kassel there is some great art to admire on the walls of houses. There is a free "Street Art to go" guide. You can also download an audio guide. Totally interesting 😊

I actually wanted to walk to the "View over Heringen" lookout point. But where I should have turned, there was no turnoff or path anywhere. So I looked for my own alternative🤷🏼♀️

From the Drecktor hiking car park, we went straight into the jungle. There are 3 signposted circular routes. I walked the woodpecker route. Really great and not overcrowded, despite the full parking lot.

Great round over bridges, streams, meadows and fields. It wouldn't have needed the ascent to the Altenburg, there was nothing to see 😅

You can park wonderfully on the village square Dittershausen, by the church. Then the round starts, over the Fulda bridge and then immediately to the right. Now DO NOT follow the R1 but turn left. A beautiful path, a little off the highway, but with great vantage points. At the equestrian farm you walk

A special recommendation is the Kranicher Graben. A mystical place. You only hear the birds chirping and the splashing of the water. For me, however, the cafe at Kuttelbacher Teich was closed. 🤷♀️
Still a nice walk.

A really nice path with great designed benches, which all have their own story and are supposed to represent a long marriage in the form of benches. It begins with the GATE OF LOVE. Other banks are:

A nice walk on not so overcrowded paths. Unfortunately I went wrong after the fish house. Instead of going straight on, I should have turned right. I think that would have been the nicer route.

You park and start at the forest swimming pool and first follow the B2/3 route. Then you turn onto the B1.
If you keep your eyes open, you will discover 13 lovingly designed gnome dwellings😍
Unfortunately, all the gnomes had flown away😉
