This leisurely hike was our alternative program today, as it was raining. The round runs mostly through high forest with many ferns between the trees. The mysterious hike to the highest peak in the Hessian (!!) Odenwald led us from the parking lot in Neunkirchen to the east to the Rodenstein castle ruins, which can be described as an enchanted ruin. We were able to stop in the neighboring Hofgut. This was our Sunday hike today. Above Ockstadt there are the cherry tree meadows (also always nice in spring when the cherry blossoms) and a former, renatured military area. Where American tanks used to go, today you can watch birds. The view of Ockstadt, Friedberg, Bad Nauheim and the Wetterau is spectacular
