Short, brisk run, fitting for the RE1, because I have other plans today. The natural meadows are very beautiful. Lots of covered seating. So actually ideal for a trip in a larger group

The route directly on the banks of the Nehmitzsee is not recommended, as many trees have fallen due to the severe drought of recent years, making the path difficult to walk on. In addition, the dead trees that are still standing, as is the case at the Großer Stechlinsee, pose a danger to life and limb

I walked the route today. It was very nice, I hardly met anyone, the weather was a bit rainy until midday.
Forsthaus Siehdichum was OK, vegetarian dishes too, all 20 or so tables on the terrace were reserved
With the pleasantly full RB36 to Mixdorf, the A400 excursion bus from Kieselwitz at 7:30 p.m

We followed the 66 Lakes Hike route east. It went through the Briesetal, via Forsthaus and the town of Wensickendorf, along Stolzenhagener See and Wandlitzer See to Wandlitzsee train station. From there there is an hourly train connection to Berlin-Karow. 23km.

Initially on Usedom it is a bit hilly and there is a cycle path next to the main road, but OK. Few supply points. The Karnin-Kamp ferry with the old railway bridge is a real highlight, as is the subsequent cycle path along the lagoon through the Anklam peat quarry. Mönkebude is a really nice place to stop for a break
