Our start today was at the "Hohe Sonne". There are an incredible number of hiking opportunities here, so sometimes it's not that easy to make the right decision.
The "path of the beautiful unknown" appealed to us, a circular route of approx. 11 km. I found the altitude meters quite suitable for flatland

Today we wanted to take it a little easier and decided to hike via the Wartburg through the Drachenschlucht to the "Hohe Sonne" and from there take the bus back to Hörschel.
Thanks to the recommendation of locals, we took the bus towards Eisenach in the morning and got off at the "Georgenstrasse" stop

Sea or mountains was the big question for a few days off.
We were able to spontaneously book accommodation in the "Tor zum Rennsteig" inn and guesthouse.
Our first hike took us along the Rennsteigweg from Hörschel to the high sun.

Today I used my free day for a day trip from Buxtehude to Krautsand and back.
I didn't find the route through Jork between Ladekop and Borstel so suitable for cycling, so next time in Ladekop I would probably rather ride over the rear dike.

The ice cream came at the end of the tour and not right at the beginning.

We wanted to approach our last day of hiking in a more relaxed manner.
Last but not least, hiking through the Landgrafenschlucht was on my wish list.
Start was in Hörschel in fog with the bus to the Marienthal stop. From there it was always the very good signs towards Landgrafenschlucht.
