It is a wonderful hike on an old arm of the Rhine that was only closed to get farmland. In 2014 it was reopened and now has a great nature reserve with many different species of birds

Circular hiking trail through the Drover Heide nature reserve and bird sanctuary near Kreuzau in the Eifel. The purple heather blooms in late summer! A very beautiful heather with currently a lot of Erika that is in bloom.
