... It was great that Moni gave us a ride in the car. So our tour was a bit shorter and therefore doable. Beautiful, all the views but also the solitude, which we really enjoyed.

The campsite was so beautiful and the area so attractive that we simply left our tent and set off with light luggage. The heath landscape was unique, it also smelled great.

We traveled by bus and train and only met a lot of hikers around the Laacher See. The rest of the day we had the great nature almost to ourselves.
Heavy fell and the luggage. A backpack was full only with food. Fortunately, that has decreased from day to day 😉 we can warmly recommend the campsite...

... Furthermore, the traces of the flood are palpable everywhere. It was much easier to walk through the Ahr Valley, even if the cycle paths have improved significantly since January 2023.
