Today I was with the snails in the neighborhood. The view over the vineyard in Illingen was great today in perfect weather. The old town center of Lienzingen with the fortified church is also beautiful. In winter, the Christmas Gaden takes place there on a weekend in Advent.

Fascinating as well as frightening to examine the relics from World War II. I am happy to live in a peaceful era. Hope it stays that way, because peace cannot be taken for granted

If you start from Vaihingen station, you will pass the Jewish cemetery with a memorial (unfortunately not always open). There was the former Vaihingen / Enz concentration camp. But not only Jews were imprisoned in miserable circumstances. Nearby is the Säman quarry, where the launch ramps for the V2 were tested in World War II.
