Unfortunately, it wasn't possible to continue walking along the river on the way back because you would have had to go through the water and we didn't know whether we would have gotten any further after the procedure. We then went back up and walked quite a bit directly along the road, which wasn't great

I agree that this hiking trail does not belong in the easy category. The path is partly narrow and rocky and leads past a steep slope. The stone steps to the top are sometimes quite high, but if you don't mind that, you will be rewarded with a great hiking experience and a fantastic view.

Easy, easy-to-walk path along the River Garry, which you can occasionally see through the trees. Unfortunately we couldn't find an alternative way back, so we just walked it again.
