If you look at the elevation of the starting point and the Rotwandspitze, you'll calculate a difference in elevation of approximately 700 meters. The elevation information provided by Komoot is misleading. With family and breaks, you should allow 6-7 hours for the tour.

With breaks (the Santnerpass Hut offers a lot and is highly recommended!) and due to the traffic jam on the descent, it took us (the family) about 7-7.5 hours. The hike up to the towers is pure fun, but after that, you walk along an "ant trail"—extremely crowded in August—that I wouldn't want to do again
