Went to Walding Zoo with our grandson today on the last day of the year. A small but very beautiful zoo. The weather was very foggy and wet and cold, most of the animals hid in the stable. But our little one liked it and that was the most important thing.

Today we were at the Bad Füssinger Rauhnachts market with the Perchtenlauf..
Unfortunately, Komoot didn't record everything. Very busy and in the evening as it got dark there was a very nice atmosphere. A very successful event.

We started at the Aschach power plant parking lot on the Danube to the Kaiserhof campsite and back again. There was absolutely nothing going on and we were alone. We were also able to observe great spotted woodpeckers and black woodpeckers, as well as a kingfisher and lots of waterfowl.

Today we visited the Eferding Castle Advent. From the parking lot at the outdoor pool we went to the Advent market. The atmosphere in the castle is beautiful, and very suitable for the Christmas season. In the castle courtyard it smelled wonderfully of bratwurst and punch, we couldn't stand there again

From the Feldkirchen bathing lakes, past the golf course towards Goldwörth. In Goldwörth we visited the church and then we went back along the Danube.

After the power plant crossing to Germany was closed for construction work, we hiked to Engelszell Abbey. The collegiate church is very impressive and you can buy many different liqueurs made in-house in the adjacent monastery shop. Of course we had to treat ourselves to a cake and hot chocolate in the cafe.

Today a tour in the rain from the Schlögener Schlinge to Inzell and back again. Stopped by the marina and there was no one out today. Simply enjoying the silence in the Danube Valley was wonderful.
