Dörnberg: Marienhöhe, Wolfslei, Sonnenweg, (Pfingstlay), Liebeslay 05.06.2026
Die Runde bin ich so oder so ähnlich schon (mindestens) drölfzigmal gelaufen - immer wieder schön: gemütliche Wege/Pfade, tolle Aussichtspunkte, viele Bänke ;-)
Die Pfingstlay war heute wegen Überfüllung geschlossen.
Ob beim Startpunkt wirklich ein Parkplatz ist, weiß ich nicht. Knöllchen gab's jedenfalls keins und 4/5 PKW passen locker hin.…

Es wird Zeit, dass Loomi die places to be im Westerwald kennenlernt.
Aussichtsreiche Runde abschnittsweise auf Wällertour Iserbachschleife und Dremherem em Reschd, ansonsten Frei Schnauze.

Lars hat die Tour vor ewigen Zeiten gezeigt (komoot.com/de-de/tour/431164640) - seitdem hatte ich sie auf'm Zettel. Und jetzt endlich gemacht.
Abwechslungsreiche Runde mit tollen Fernblicken. Für meinen Geschmack etwas zu viel Asphalt.
Mein Highlight: der Stausee! Und natürlich die Bänke :-)

Wanderung der DAV Sektionen Mittenwald und Koblenz durch die Klettergebiete Kottenheim und Ettringen (Programmpunkt des Partnerschaftstreffens) - sehr nass und stürmisch, daher abgekürzt, mit anschließendem, ausgiebigem Imbiss :-)
P Ettringer Lay (gebührenpflichtig - 2h €1, Tagesticket €5).

Today (on the nationwide "Geotope Day"), the Westerwald-Lahn-Taunus GEOPARK honored the Assberg slate mine with the "Geotope of the Year 2025" award. To mark the honor, the Limbach Cultural and Tourist Association (KuV), which manages the historic mine, hosted a ceremony.

The first kilometer could certainly be made more exciting so that you don't feel like you're walking endlessly on asphalt. The rest is mostly on a path - probably one of the Limbacher rounds, but which one? .
There were plenty of raspberries today, and views of course. And at the end there was a village

The Wiesensee is currently not a lake, but a meadow; it has been completely drained for repair work. waellerland.com/auf-ebbe-folgt-flut-auch-im-wiesensee
So there's no sailing, surfing or swimming, but golf is possible.
Coffee and cake are also available cafe-seewies.de.
