The most beautiful Rax tour so far. From the cable car mountain station we went to the "Neue Seehütte" about 5 km away. Unfortunately, the waterfalls were just trickling streams. Otherwise, it was a great but strenuous hike. We actually wanted to go up the "Small Waterfall Trail" but took a wrong turn.

Wonderful - hot day in Vienna, so up to subalpine altitude. At 20° we get out of the car. It is possible to get to the Friedrichshütte by car. But return the favor by going to a stop before driving down.
From the Friedrichshütte you first have to walk along the forest road in the direction of the Steinbachalm

Attention, when entering - we went in via the wide frost road and then missed the turnoff to the inconspicuous hiking trail and had to go back.
To go with children something borderline. I've held myself tightly to the rope often enough. And because of possible rockfalls you also have a bit of a queasy feeling.

Today from Gaaden to the Anninger. I think I've completed all the usual ascents from all directions with it.
Ascent without any problems, in less than 1 hour we were already at the Annhingerhaus. 🍻

Please note: The Dirndlalm at the highest point and other alpine pastures on the return route, which are open in winter, were closed in July 2025. I was only able to quench my thirst at the Wastlalm. This is just before the top station of the lift that took us back down.
