A truly beautiful stage, especially now that the heather is in bloom. We decide to include the impressive Radio Kootwijk building, so we deviate slightly from the route. Public transport in Kootwijk is nonexistent, so I'm lucky my husband is going to catch the car by bike.

Here you keep your feet dry. Varied walk with coniferous forest, deciduous forest and views over meadows. Close to the parking lots it was of course quite busy on this sunny Sunday afternoon, but further away, it was good to do: absolutely no slaloming. So a nice walk.

After the linch at the Stadskoffiehuis, I forgot to turn on the app again, so from there to the Schie the route is different. Otherwise a great trip. In Den Hoorn you pass 3 times under very low bridges, which the canoe just fits under.
