"The art historical literature dates the village church to the 14th century, the church is a massive rectangular stone building with a massive fortified cross tower.When the stone blocks were initially walled regularly, the higher parts of church and tower have an irregular wall - the so-called On the south side there is a gate, which served as an entrance until the middle of the 19th century, the windows were altered in 1854, remnants of the old windows can still be seen on the eastern side.

Görlsdorf, originally Gerlachsdorf, was founded by monks of the Augustinian Monastery of Naumburg am Bober in Silesia. Like the knights of the Knights Templar in the first third of the 13th century, they were called by the Silesian Duke Henry I (also Henry the Bearded) and given land.
In a list of 1250 all existing parishes are listed: for Görlsdorf 63 hooves land with church and 4 parish hooves to book. At the end of the 14th century, the monks sold their property.
