The church of St. Peter and Paul in Niederndodeleben (Unterdorf) was built in 1150 as a fortified church. This is evidenced by the massive Romanesque west cross tower. The nave was extended after 1709, widened and raised. The altar, the galleries, the pulpit and the baptismal font date from this period. The church houses a historical organ, which still contains parts of the original instrument by Heinrich Compenius the Younger from 1611.
