Margarete-Stein-Platz/entrance to the Old Cemetery
For his work, the Hamm-born artist Wolfgang Lamché chose the goose, known as the miners' most important fattening animal. Thirteen geese stylized as flat silhouettes fly through a stainless steel arch over five meters high. The arch at the entrance to the Old Cemetery takes up the motif of the sandstone arches of a row of shops that used to exist there. Below the arch, a goose, made of bronze, in full relief and life-size, is looking for food.
