If you follow the beautiful short (audio) walk with the story about the end of the county of Loon after the destruction of the castle that stood here and the beautiful flora of the forest, this is, as it were, "the exit" from the forest. On the other side, the "entrance" you will find information boards, a bench and a welcome with the "flag" of the county of Loon. Nicely maintained forest. Here are the remains of a medieval castle from the 14th century, which are no longer visible. You walk on the circular first rampart. There are many different types of fauna and flora to be found on about 4 ha. Since 2017, this has been protected as a cultural-historical landscape, because of its natural and archaeological values.
