At the end of the 70s, the Büchsenbrunnen was draped as an eye-catcher and small attraction on the brand new boulevard. Around 50 metal cans in different sizes are arranged on three towers at different heights. Romantic water features were created with the cool water that splashed and bubbled from one can to the other.

It was restored in 2019 and, along with the Kariedelbrunnen and the drinking fountain, is one of the three extraordinary water facilities in the Luckenwalde pedestrian zone.
