The completely redesigned exhibition in the former abbey church on the Kornmarkt is intended to commemorate the theological fellow martyrs Martin Luther, who deviated from the pure Lutheran doctrine or persecuted their own reformatory ideas and so far were largely in the shadow of the great reformer, such as Jakob Strauss, Fritz Erbe or Andreas Bodenstein of Karlstadt. The most comprehensive exposition on this subject in Germany also provides information on the course, highlights and after-effects of the German Peasant War in the context of time and its reception history.

The crypt of the church houses an exhibition area on the history of construction and restoration. In the outdoor area there is a monastery garden designed according to the ideas of the medieval scholar Albertus Magnus and a lapidarium with components from historical buildings.

The former monastery church of St. Crucis, built in the second half of the 13th century, is characterized by the lack of a transept, unadorned masonry and simple tracery windows and portals as a mendicant order church. Today the building houses the farmer's war museum Kornmarktkirche with partly changing exhibitions.
