Great vantage point even with seating and views over the entire Rieserfernergruppe, the Dolomites and the Zillertal Alps. The best way to start the trek on the Durakopf from the slightly lower lying Lutterkopf, which comes from the Taister Sennhütte. If you still feel like it, you can complete the round on the Rudlhorn back to the Taistner Sennhütte.

Durakopf is a beautiful peak that can be reached from both Rasen and Teisten and in both cases the last stretch is pushed. The crossing towards the Lutterkopf is beautiful and then continues with a rather insidious descent (in the first part it presents a ground full of roots that are sometimes rather slippery) towards the valley. From the top you can enjoy a beautiful view of the whole Val Pusteria and the peaks of the Anterselva Valley such as the Magerstein, the Hochhorn and others.
