In the residence, Katrien Vandermarliere created an exhibition based on a short film about the economic impact of the bread industry and its social importance for various communities. Bob Takes's art installation delves deeper into the many traditions and rituals that bread universally evokes. Architect Christian Kieckens collaborated on the scenography.

The Kilbershoeve – originally from Meeuwen – was chosen as the location for the bread craftsmanship. The yard consisted of a house with a typical deep stable with a detached barn and a bakehouse, built in the 18th and 19th centuries. The buildings were the result of traditional half-timbering. The house is currently under restoration. Source: bokrijk.be/nl/gebouwen-openluchtmuseum/kilbershoeve-meeuwen-erf/kilbershoeve-meeuwen
