An old, idyllic cobbled wine trail leads up or down the Wartberg. Bushes and trees are more visible to the right and left than vines.
The Weinsteige probably dates back to 1875/76 - at least that's what dates on the vineyard walls indicate.

This is the historical part of the Wartbergsteige. It is a steep, cobblestone ravine that was first mentioned in 1373. It was the original, direct route to the summit of the Wartberg, Heilbronn's local mountain. The historical part of the Wartbergsteige is now a listed building.

Due to the steep cobblestones, it is a bit difficult to cycle on. The surface is likely to be a bit slippery, especially in wet, damp weather. The drive up the Wartbergsteige is very strenuous, but at least it is nice and shady and cool.
