The very spacious church, dedicated to Saint Agnes – chosen after the first name of the deceased wife of the generous benefactor – contains a largely unknown feature in its crypt: a memorial to the victims of the Nazi regime, the "martyrs of the 20th century."

In particular, Nikolaus Groß, active in the Catholic Workers' Movement (KAB), who was executed in January 1945, is one of the prominent victims who actively lived their Christian faith even during that time – with all the consequences that entailed.
