The Hegereiterhaus, located in the Spitalhof, is one of the most beautiful buildings in Rothenburg. It was built by Leonhard Weidmann, the well-known Rothenburg stonemason, who also built the nearby hospital bastion. The hospital kitchen used to be housed here. The hospital attendant, who managed the hospital's numerous assets, also lived here.
