In the immediate vicinity of the old town hall, two stately town houses stand out, whose common brick street front was designed as a semi-detached house in the late 16th century. The 34 half-reliefs of heads made of limestone and sandstone at the house "Markt 3" are said to show the heads of rebels who were executed after a rebellion against the Danish krone.

The old town hall (Historisches Rathaus Husum) is on the north side of the Husum market square, at Großstrasse 27, and was built in 1601. [1] In the course of time, renovations were carried out repeatedly, which were adapted to the needs of the respective time. The historic town hall of Husum is one of the cultural monuments in Husum.
