Friedrichshafen has dedicated a fountain and a monument to the city's most famous son. Not far from the city train station you will find the charming Zeppelin fountain, whose fountain figure, created in 1909, miraculously remained almost intact during the war years of 1944 in the middle of the destroyed city. For the Zeppelin anniversary year 2000, the fountain was re-erected as a reconstruction of the original.
