Hautacuperche was one of the central protagonists of the rebellion of the Gomeros against the Spanish occupation in 1488. On the beach of the Valle, from where the Gomeros departed, a statue was dedicated to him.

Hi, Philip has already described it, Hautacuperche is one of the most famous rebels of La Gomera. The bronze has an impressive height of 4 meters and is located in Putilla in the Valle Gran Rey directly opposite the Hotel Gran Rey. The promenade itself is not the most beautiful, but invites you to enjoy the sunset.
