Old Borsig property. At the gate there is a commemorative plaque stating that the conspirators from the Kreisau Circle met here. Today the well-preserved property is a hotel, located on a beautiful idyllic lake.

The district southwest of Nauen was first mentioned in documents in 1173. After the changing ownership of various noblemen finally Peter von Itzenplitz owner of the Good Groß Behnitz. After an England trip brought knowledge about agricultural methods and landscaping to Germany. He had it built around 1800 above the lake Groß Behnitzer a befitting mansion in the Italian Renaissance style. Under Peter von Itzenplitz, Groß Behnitz became a meeting place for artists and scholars such as Carl von Savigny and Albrecht Thaer.
