This house has experienced something. It was built as a washhouse, converted into a garage and workshop, was already an office and provided housing for various families. It decayed and was restored with great attention to detail. Today everything in this house tells of its history. And best of all, it also houses a café. You can also learn something with hot coffee and delicious pear cake.

Restaurant Altes Waschhaus, interesting ambience, standing tables under historical items of laundry and all sorts of knick-knacks from bygone times, right next door is the church with the pear tree that made the Fontane famous and with it the whole small town and its castle.
