The Paul Gerhardt Church is a Protestant church. It is named after the theologian and songwriter Paul Gerhardt, who served as archdeacon here from 1669 to 1676. The church belongs to the Evangelical Paul Gerhardt parish in Lübben in the Lower Lusatia church district of the Evangelical Church in Berlin-Brandenburg-Silesian Upper Lusatia. Guided tower ascents take place Monday & Thursday from 10:00 a.m.

The Paul Gerhardt Church is the most central church in the city of Lübben. You can visit and discover it as follows: Monday to Saturday 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. & 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday after the service until 12 p.m. The monument in front of it is intended to commemorate the man who gave the church its name. Paul Gerhardt (1607-1676) was a theologian and one of the most important hymn writers in the German language. From 1668 to 1676 he was the pastor of this church.
