For more than 150 years, the post coach, together with the tongue twister "The Cottbus post coach cleaning the Cottbus post coach box", which is well-known beyond the city limits, has served as an advertising medium for the city. In 2006, the sculpture Der Cottbusser Postkutscher by the artist Christian Uhlig was placed at the city gate (Lindenpforte), which humorously depicts the tongue twister.
