From the top you have a great vision! You should definitely be prepared for strong winds and have a jacket with you to really enjoy it. The later the day, the stronger the wind!

As already described above, the light of the old lighthouse could not be seen far too far and in bad weather in the clouds almost not. No wonder that more than 6000 capsized in the rocks at the Cape. And given the water temperatures, there was little hope of getting ashore alive. In addition, surf and a few sailors could swim. The extremely bright light from the new lighthouse now goes up to 90km out to sea.
Due to Corona (Dec 2021) very few visitors here. That was of course pleasant.

The best time to visit the Cape is the early morning. The tourist buses and self-drivers fill this place from 10: 00h.
