Built in the early 20th century in the Neo-Romanesque style, but also with some beautiful Art Nouveau elements. Massive, but not overwhelming.

The earthworks started in 1901, the year after that the foundation stone was laid and in a year later the big bell was rung for the first time as a trial from the tower. Inauguration of St. John's Church was on May 29, 1904. The church is in Romanesque style and one would assume that she was much older. A striking feature of the church, which was originally built of pale Palatinate sandstone, is the relief above the entrance portal: it shows the evangelist John, the patron saint of the church, with his heraldic animal, the eagle.
