The Dahlhauser Heide colliery on my route is laid out in the style of a garden city.
Behind the idyllic houses there are large gardens that were (are) grown with ornamental plants and vegetables, hence the popular name: Kappeskolonie.
The Dahlhauser Heide settlement was built in early 1900 for the Hannover and Hannibal collieries.
The settlement is located in the Bochum district of Hordel.
By the way, there is theme route 19 of industrial culture with 13 important settlements in the Ruhr area.
