An absolutely worthwhile visit! If you don't have via ferrata equipment, you can rent it in Boppard for €5 (€20 deposit and present your ID or driver's license) at the Aral gas station or at Basecamp Boppard. However, you should be sure-footed and have no problems with a fear of heights. Otherwise, the via ferrata is easy to do, even for children. If you don't like climbing, you can walk the entire path with the alternative hiking trail.

This is the most difficult passage, because you have to walk with your feet in the vertical rock face on iron and you have to hold on to a rope. The view is fantastic, but you also have a look into the depths. Getting around isn't hard, it's just knowing you're stuck in the rock.
There are alternative routes parallel to all climbing passages.
