A short steep descent leads to the actual rock pulpit. This short detour is definitely worth it. If you don't want to or can't go down to the rock pulpit, you can sit on the bench above the rock pulpit and enjoy the view from there.

From the Felsenkanzel you have a wonderful view along the Rhine towards Oberwesel and the Loreley rock. Not far away you come to the almost 200 meter high Spitznack. Both vantage points offer you magnificent views of the Middle Rhine Valley, which you can enjoy extensively during a rest.
