The Henfstädt fortified church is one of the series of fortified churches in the upper Werra Valley.
It is a Protestant church founded in the Romanesque period.
The tower and nave were later modified.
The curtain wall is partially preserved on three sides.

In front of the fortified church is the former court square with a linden tree.

The church of Henfstädt is a church fortress, which is surrounded by a wall and also by buildings. Unfortunately it cannot be visited, but the grounds are accessible - not from the square in front of the church, as it initially appears, but only from Mittlere Dorfstraße.
