The mighty town church of Arneburg was built around 1200 and was rebuilt and expanded several times. It is open daily in the summer months. Vandring

St. George is considered the oldest church in the Altmark and was built in the first half of the 12th century, the transept and choir in the early 13th century. The windows show the transition from Romanesque to Gothic. Inside there is a Baroque altar and the organ built by August Zabel in 1818-21.
