After work, we toured the Welzow/South opencast mine. At the viewing points, Mr. Günzel, a true Lusatian miner, told us about overburden, rocks and earth, and the extraction and mining of "black gold," as well as the machinery, transport systems, and technologies. Cu vreme excelentă, ca tură de deschidere pentru campania de ciclism urban din acest an din Spremberg, am pornit spre Țara Lacurilor Lusatiană. Pe traseul circular, a existat multe de descoperit și s-au parcurs mulți kilometri pentru „perla” noastră.
