Unfortunately, there was no hoarfrost today, and the paths were quite icy – but with crampons, it was no problem. We soaked up plenty of sunshine, though the wind was unpleasant at times.

Despite the lack of snow, it was a very beautiful winter hike, as you can see in the photos. The mountain hut was operating with limited services, but luckily they had soup and a traditional Austrian snack.

Today we went on a short hike nearby because rain was forecast. From Fiordo di Furore, we climbed many steps again, heading towards San Michele.
