We found what we were looking for right in the Kleinsachsenheim Forest: the long-missed mud holes. It also took some effort to find them. Out of sheer joy, Max took a foot bath with underbody wash for the bike.

Last Wednesday I planned a tour to Heckengäu from Vaihingen. When temperatures were high, the journey along the Kreuzbach was mostly in the shade. What was astonishing were the many uprooted trees along the way, which kept stopping the journey.

Shortly before the start: light banter from the sky. Helmet on, gloves on, goggles on - 15 minutes of heavy rain!
Ok - rain radar is merciful and started in Kleinsachsenheim with Charly and Max - of course tried all the shitholes of Sachsenheimer Wald and the eastern Stromberg. Was fun!

Today it started quite early by my standards (7.30 sharp). Slightly doped with painkillers, I soon realized that the long Stromberg tour wasn't working. So I took it easy. Nevertheless, one or the other single trail was there.
I initially enjoyed the pleasant temperatures and was back home around 10.30

The right date for the end of winter is perfectly chosen. Just right for mulled wine and red sausages. It's still freezing cold on the bike today.
However, there are only three root hoppers on the bike. Charly, Martin H. and me. Erich has a bad case of bronchial problems, Martin L. has other priorities
