The weather was beautiful, not too warm, a bit windy, but pleasant for cycling. So, we headed off to the Wiesendachhaus for lunch. After fried potatoes and fried eggs, we headed back, stopping at the new Italian restaurant in Rethen for ice cream. It was a lovely ride during our lunch break.

After learning today that the beer garden is only open for this week this year, and because the weather was quite nice, we decided to make a last-minute visit to mark the end of the season. It was a lovely outing. However, we were the only guests enjoying the lovely evening there. It was still lovely.

This was the kickoff to the 2025 cycling season, with beautiful summer weather, and a lunch break at the Birkensee beer garden for a currywurst. Then, because they didn't have any ice cream there yet, we continued on to the Livana ice cream parlor in Gleidingen. A lovely tour for May Day.

After two years we checked again how the reconstruction was progressing. Yes, a lot has happened, some things are looking really good, but there are still a lot of construction sites. In any case, people are not giving up and are confident that it won't happen again. Good luck.
