The plan was actually to visit the marina restaurant on the Herner Meer. Unfortunately, it has been closed. I hope that the reasons given on site are not true, because apparently too many 'walk-in customers' have visited the marina. As a result, the Herner Meer does not currently offer comparable restaurants

On the way from Bergen aan zee to Petten. Past the Vogelmeer and the Bärenkuhle, nice little restaurant in the Schoorlser Duinen. Paid dune card required!

Very nice circular tour with the destination of the Il Gambero Due beer garden on the old route of the RH canal in Castrop Rauxel.
Unfortunately there are always diversions due to construction work:
- RH canal at the Steag power plant in Herne because of the A43 bridge
