Strandspaziergang mit Seehund
Ein Seehund am ist zwar nicht unmöglich, aber doch ungewöhnlich. Die Kontrolle, ob er gesund ist, wurde vom Profi vorgenommen. Touristen haben so nah an diesen Tieren nichts zu suchen. Bald war er wieder weg und es blieb die tolle Landschaft.

42. Duisburger Radwanderung (Familientour)
Dieses Jahr war ich noch nicht wieder in Form, weshalb es nicht für die große Runde mit 63 km gereicht hat. Die kleine Tour war aber auch sehr schön.

I hopped on my bike in perfect weather, and after just a few minutes, my light jacket was folded and on the luggage rack. A beautiful tour through the north of Duisburg.
Unfortunately, I wasn't alone on some stretches and dented my bell.

The Castle Trail in Altenahr is a tour suggested by the tourist association. Today we returned to yesterday's final destination (where we lost our strength), over the mountain on the planned route, but then took a shortcut along the Ahr River. A beautiful section of the Ahr Valley Cycle Path is already completed here.

The entire Castle Trail is actually only about 10 km long, but if you're training in the Lower Rhine region, the climb to Are Castle is quite a challenge. Therefore, I only did a section.

The landscape is beautiful, but it's shocking how much remains damaged almost four years after the flood disaster.

I actually just wanted to cycle to the Rhine on familiar routes for the first time in 2025. But in the Duisburg district of Serm, the traditional parade on Carnival Sunday slowed me down. Slowly but surely, I got through. Lots of police and lots of people celebrating wildly. Helau.

When we started it was 3° and when we returned it was already 5°. 😊
The wonderful weather made up for the low temperatures. The fact that the old Rhine bridge is now gone was an interesting prospect.

Storks have been breeding again in the Walsum Rhine meadows since 2010. On our hike, we saw two nests, one foraging in the meadow, and one circling above us. So, the whole thing.
