The Söderåsen is a ridge with light beech forests and dramatic gorges. It is located in the northwest of Skåne, about 30 km southeast of Helsingborg and 50 km north of Malmö.

The Söderåsen is considered one of the highlights of Skåne. "Highlights" may be understood literally, because in the otherwise rather flat Skåne you rarely find such lookouts as just here. The Söderåsen is one of the typical faults that run diagonally through Skåne. Unlike the extremely popular Kullaberg further northwest, Söderåsen is even a national park, one of 29 currently in Sweden.

Söderåsen is close to the E6 (Malmö - Gothenburg) and the E4 (Helsingborg - Stockholm). The area is about 50 by 50 km and touches the towns Åstorp, Bjuv, Klippan and Svalöv. The national park is only a part of the large Söderåsen and lies on the southeast of the ridge between the villages Ljungbyhed and Röstånga. There are accesses to the national park from Skäralid (Naturum, at the street 13 or 108) and Röstånga (tourist information) ago.
