Peyto Lake is yet another beautiful turquois lake in front of a magnificant mountain scenery. It's a short walk to get to the viewpoint, but a great place to stop by. Unfortunately the glacier that once went all the way up to the waterside of the lake is almost gone.

A great turquoise blue lake, which is very natural in a valley and has no footbridges or swimming areas or boats that drive on it. The view here is from the "Visitor Terrace" above the lake and it seems like there is no way down to the lake.

If you want to follow a trail a little further, you will come to this "Panoramic Viewpoint" and will be rewarded with an even more beautiful view of Peyto Lake and the surrounding forest. It is worth taking this short path.
NOTE: We didn't see any mountain goats or mouflons or anything like that, but there must be a few wandering around because there was shed fur everywhere. So maybe you'll be lucky and see some.
