Lacquered aluminum sculpture by Eva Hild from 2015.
Eva Hild is known for her free-form, amorphous ceramics. The bodies seem to twist themselves multidimensionally. They form organic forms that offer new approaches to sculpture and its surfaces and »caves« from every perspective.

The majority of Hild's work is presented on a human scale. The works rarely protrude over the head of the beholder. The aluminum sculpture “Rubato” is different: with a size of nine meters in length, five meters in width and four meters in height, it definitely belongs to the large-format works of its genre. Such a format that does not make transport easy ...

After completion in the Schmäke art foundry in Düsseldorf, the oversized sculpture had a long way to go to its destination. The Swedish Malmö was chosen as the location for the public presentation. The rather linear architecture of the congress hall, located directly on a moat, would be given a lively contrast through Hild's work.
