Mighty stone church that can be seen from afar. It is right on the Way of St. James, but unfortunately there was no pilgrim's stamp.

The village church (Evangelical) of Falkenhagen is a field stone church (formerly with three naves), which was built around 1350 on the foundation walls of a church from the 12th century. The church is still big now and used to be even bigger until 1801. In 1801 the side aisles were dismantled.

What made us very happy that the church was really open and that we were able to look around in peace. To our astonishment, we discovered a sign pointing to a small exhibition on chemical warfare agents since WWI and the military secrets of the area from 1938 to 1992.
