The word dodecalit is derived from the Greek and means twelve stones.
The work of art consists of twelve stone figures carved from granite, seven to nine meters high, each weighing 25 - 45 tons. The top two meters are carved as heads,
all looking towards the center of a circle with a diameter of 40 meters.
The dodecalits are located high in the "Lolland Alps", with a view over the "Smålandhavet", near the Glentehøj megalithic tomb and three other Bronze Age hills. Between the figures, from the sitting stones, electro-acoustic music that was composed for the place can be heard all year round, from sunrise to sunset.
The work of art consists of four elements: 1. The story. 2. The stone figures.
3. The music. 4. The landscape.

In this landscape conservation area, the dodecalits appear as a new landmark for Lolland. Sculpture and newly composed music act as a local innovation.

The sculptor is Thomas Kadziola and the composer is Wayne Siegel.

Dodekalitten is open all year round and admission is free.
